"We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails..."
Bertha Calloway

Thank you to everyone that has made this event possible.

Thanks for all the support, there are no plans for a 2014 Regatta.

A main focus of the National Hospice Regatta Alliance is to increase awareness of hospice and the services provided. Participating sailboats will compete on a closed course on the Pasquotank River. The race is open to spinnaker, non-spinnaker, and cruising class sailors.

Why support hospice through the Albemarle Hospice Regatta?

Regatta 2
Sailboat racing requires teamwork. This is naturally appealing and makes a natural fit with Hospice care which must use teamwork to help patients and their families. The teamwork of sailboat racing creates enthusiasm for the events, for Hospice, and for the sponsors who are associated with them.

Your commitment not only helps us build awareness of Hospice care, it helps us to raise money for uncovered Hospice services in our community. All proceeds benefit the Albemarle Hospice Regatta and the profits of the regatta go directly to Albemarle Hospice.

The event, the education about Hospice services and increasing
the interest in sailing events on the Pasquotank River are all a
SUCCESS because of all efforts of the event volunteers...

The event is usually scheduled for the first week in August of each year. Visit for more information.
