Eligibility & Payments

Who qualifies for Home Health?

Home Care 2
Albemarle Home Care services are available to patients who need skilled services from a nurse or therapist. A physician must provide an order for the requested services. Home health patients must be considered homebound depending on the type of insurance.

After the physician's order is obtained, a nurse or therapist will make a home visit to evaluate for the ordered services. We work with each patient's physician, family, and other caregivers to develop a plan of care that meets each patient's needs. To talk to a nurse about how Albemarle Home Care might help you or your loved one, call our office at 252-338-4066.

Who pays for Home Health?

Albemarle Home Care services are covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurance plans. We also accept patients without insurance, and will discuss financial arrangements for private payment. Our services are easy to arrange, and convenient for patients and their families.
